Dâlma Peak
Dâlma Peak is the highest point in the southern part of the Geopark, offering a unique view over the Buzău and Sărățelului valleys, where the mud volcanoes form at the surface. From autumn to spring, before the trees bloom, you can even see the city of Buzău in the distance. The trail starts from the village of Dâlma, a traditional settlement with scattered households, and climbs the hill through a deciduous forest. It follows an old path that at times crosses rocky stretches, with the roots of the trees visible, covering the stones that border the path. It is a perfect place for nature enthusiasts, full of birds and other animals, which is why we recommend walking the trail in groups of at least 2-3 people.
The path will take you through a rural and natural landscape that has something different to offer in every season, but is truly special in autumn.
This trail was made with support from OMV Petrom and is maintained with the support of ‘O Speranță în Plus’ Foundation.
