To the east is the Buzău River, whose calm and sometimes turbulent waters offer rafting and kayaking enthusiasts the opportunity to fully enjoy themselves. Buzău is the second-best river for rafting in Romania.

Crivineni Forest, located just west of here, is a nature reserve renowned for a rare species of fluffy oak. It’s an ideal place for hiking enthusiasts or for those who simply wish to spend some relaxing time outdoors.

Explorers seeking adventure or those eager to discover the natural and cultural values of the area can visit Buzău Land, found in the immediate vicinity of the guesthouse. You can access Buzău Land by following the road to Colți, locality famous for its amber deposits, for the Amber Museum and for the 25 Million Visiting Center. If you continue a bit farther you reach the village of Aluniș, where you can visit the Aluniș Art Center and the rock-hewn dwellings - houses carved in stone by a mysterious population, whose origin is still veiled in mystery. From here, you can continue up the mountain to another group of similar archeological sites - Dionysius the Weaver’s Cave, Iosif’s Cave and The Old and New Agaton. You can reach the Fair Maiden’s Valley and access the entire Geopark, but firstly the village of Bozioru, the Museum of Shapes and the Sandstone Concretions from Ulmet.
