The Keep
The Keep is a stone’s throw away from Buzău Land, on top of a hill, in the middle of a beech and oak forest. It’s a quiet place, different in every season: in spring the forest is in bloom, in summer everything is green, the colors completely explode in autumn, and snow makes everything white in winter. Here you’ll have all the comfort you require, which is nothing compared to the warm welcome you’ll receive from the hosts, which are always happy to have visitors. We won’t even mention Garfield the tomcat, the real lord of the Keep, and Vasile the fox, the night manager of the property.
The Keep is only a few minutes’ drive from Pârscov, one of the gateways to Buzău Land. From here, you can access Fair Maiden’s Valley, carved by glaciers during the last ice age. You can easily go to the Sandstone Concretions from Ulmet, to the Museum of Shapes and to the Rock-hewn Dwellings from Nucu, in Cozianca Glade. You are half-way to the other two important gateways to Buzău Land. One is in Berca, where you can visit the Monastery Fort, travel to the four mud volcano sites or continue to the salt domes found on Salt River Valley. The second one is in Colți, where you can visit the Amber Museum, the 25 MILLION Visiting Center, Aluniș Art Center and the Rock-hewn Dwellings of Aluniș, or you can simply have a stroll over the Amber Hills. In the vicinity of the Keep, you can also visit the Cetățuia Monastery, Ciolanu Monastery and the Măgura Sculpture Camp.
