The Rock-hewn Dwellings from Cozianca’s Glade

This is one of the most mysterious trails from Buzău Land, which takes about 4 hours for the roundtrip. You can easily get to Nucu village, where you have to leave your car or bicycle in the parking lot. From there, you start along a forest path that leads you to Cozianca's Glade, from where our trail takes you to Cave’s End, to Dionysius the Spinner's Cave, Joseph's Cave, the New and Old Agaton, all the way to Spătarului’s Cross. You will travel in time, starting with over 20 million years in the past, where here there was a sea and the rocks were sands and clays, and before coming home, you will make stops in the Bronze Age, Late Antiquity and Middle Ages.

We recommend traveling in groups of at least 2-3 people and please don’t stray away from the marked trail, because the forests of Buzău Land are truly wild places and you can easily get lost.

This trail was made with support from the Buzău County Council and is maintained with the support of ‘O Speranță în Plus’ Foundation.
